Our study sessions provide you with a quiet space, snacks, peer-editing opportunities, and sympathy.     Calling all ghouls and goblins! The ESA is partnering with the History, Geography, Economics, and International Relations Students’ Associations to host a spooktacular Halloween party. Bring your best literary costume and come enjoy the hauntings and celebrations. Here’s all the info you need: When: Friday, October 31st from 6-9pm Where: MASS, Buchanan D Who: This open to all members of the English, History, Geography, Economics, and International Relations Students’ Associations.     THE COLLOQUIUM 2014 “I came. I saw. I colloquium.” CALL FOR ACADEMIC SUBMISSIONS The UBC English Students’ Association is welcoming submissions for the first undergraduate English students’ symposium. We aim to offer a unique opportunity to showcase exceptional work by English undergraduates in the fields of English language, literature, and literary theory alongside presentations by UBC English professors on their research. Presentations will be followed by questions and discussion. Who can submit? Submissions are open to all UBC undergraduate English students, regardless of year or specialization. What can I submit?     Seeking Events Coordinator!

    If you’re looking to get involved with the ESA this year, consider applying for our new Events Coordinator position! The Events Coordinator will plan 2-3 events per term for the ESA, as well as the TGS launch party. Creativity, organizational skills, and an ability to delegate are all necessary qualities for the position. Experience in a similar field an asset but not required. To apply, please send us a short e-mail stating why you are interested and any relevant experience you have. You may attach a resume if you feel it strengthens your application.
